I’ve had him about 8 years. He walked up to a camp site 40 miles in the middle of the national forest where we were dear hunting. Starving.
But yes. He walked up and decided that I was his human. Friendly but wanted nothing to do with anyone else there.

Romeo is:
50% Dachshund
25% Miniature Poodle
12.5% Pekinese
12.5% Australian Stumpy Tailed Cattle Dog

All of his litter mates were born with short Dachshund legs.
Romeo has long legs and is fast and very agile. Ninja like.
He very quietly jumps onto the 30” tall bar stool chair if it is left away from the counter and steals food.
