This is Myke. Of my five dogs he’s the one who prefers me. If I get up to exercise so does he. If it’s time for coffee Myke is there. He is my shadow. And he’s been that since I adopted him. He was found 40 miles out in the middle of nowhere by some people I was working for in 2016. He was about 11 months old at the time. Today we found out Myke has cancer and won’t be around much longer.
Sad, angry, lost, I don’t know what I am right now but it’s not good.

Biggest Doxie (and still healthy) in Chattanooga. The "Puppen-Fury"....39 pounds of Dox muscled good boy.

His couch we get to borrow sometimes.


You have to see him next to other Doxies to appreciate.
He's as big as his blue ribbon field trials grandfather Silas though.
Silas is at the bottom, these are all full size, none are minis or mids. The are bred for hunting in Louisiana.

Silas is a vermin killing champion. Same size as our Augustus.

I used to wonder how dachshunds got their name, as I felt no way they could take on a badger for real. With these I have changed my mind, a badger would get wrekt.

Agustus has been the best boy from the start. He got here the same week I got back from hospital. He was bought with the intention of being there for my son in case I didn't make it. But he became my non stop companion especially my first year tethered to oxygen and a chair. Though he did sorta attempt to kill me week one when he chewed up my oxygen cord. All is forgiven, he didn't mean it.


Ere'one is surprised when they hear him bark. He doesn't sound like a Doxie, he sounds much bigger as he's got a deep base bark. Sigma Doxie through and through.

You get new dogs, and you get new loves, but you never replace the good ones, they just stay with you. I love my current buddy, but I still miss my Rummy and his brother.


They were long hair doxies, but minis. Combined together they didn't weigh as much as Agustus does (full size). But Rummy was absolutely my dog. Followed me everywhere, slept at my feet, he was my shadow. I still miss him. One of the smartest dogs I ever knew, and absolutely parkour champion. Nothing was beyond his reach. Killed me when he got sick....but he lived a good 16 years. He was also awesome with my son. Dogs have to go to heaven, cause it wouldn't be heaven without them.
