I'm surprised he looked away from his cupcake, not like him!

My picture had my dog with her toungue out. My daughter told her to sit, and she thought she was getting food. I've never gave her a cupcake, but she'll eat a bag of popcorn in about two minutes.

Somebody got a woodchuck in the horse pasture today, she's slightly impressed with herself.

Did she bring it to you for a treat? Our neighbors used to have a dog that hung around here all the time. Everyday almost she would bring a dead something to our door (mostly rabbits, or she'd regift them!) and lay it on the porch. She'd sit there until I gave her a treat.

Well no wonder why she kept bringing them to you! Lol

There are some great dogs posted in this thread. I agree with the others and would advise anyone looking for a dog to look at adopting a rescue.

Here are my two GSDs that hang out at the farm with us.

My girl Nyssa... We rescued her as a puppy and she is the best GSD I have ever been around. She is right around 100lbs, service and protection trained and a great companion.

This big boy is Ruger. We rescued him as a 10-month old pup. He is 2yrs old now and right at 115lbs. He is still finishing training and is loving life on the farm.

CHV, are you the trainer or is a third party training your GSD's?

Since it didn't upload the first time.....here's Sasha. We're her fifth home. She's my girl, even though her switch gets stuck on "derp" about 99% of the time she's awake, lol. Currently going through her twice-yearly "blowout".

I have done both depending on the situation. I work with the rescued GSDs to evaluate them and on basic and behavioral training. I have trained service and protection, but do not have as much time as I use to.

We took in 5 additional shepherds last year. I evaluated them and covered basic training and initial service training. I then donated 3 of them to a gentlemen who trains service dogs for search and rescue and for wounded vets. The other two, I found great homes for them.

I'd love to learn to be a trainer. Don't know if I'd have the patience, though. I have a 6yr old Czech Shepherd "pound puppy" - GREAT dog, and a 4yr old AKC Malinois, also a great dog that is a bit neurotic.
