So, the dowager Cookie Cat has returned to visiting the mud room after her ~2 month self-confinement to the breakfast nook, family room, and screened porch. A litter box has been maintained in the mud room in the hopes that she would use it. For the past two days, she’s pooped in the breakfast nook litter box and peed on the mud room floor. Yes, she’s managing to position herself in the box so that her urine stream arcs beyond the lip of the tray in which her litter box is placed. 🙄

These posts about the old cat’s bathroom habits are dedicated to Bela Hackman, my brother’s old fraternity brother who would interrupt whatever my brother was doing to describe in detail his latest bowel movement.

My girl Ripley crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. She was at home and asleep in her sunny spot on the guest bed. Mrs. HateSteve was with her. She had a great life. But I'm really going to miss her.
