Oh yeah, Ogle's! If we were REAL good we got to do both in one summer.

We always got the free Ogle's passes in school when you brought in clothes for Goodwill or somebody like that.

The slides were cool but the best thing they had was the Kid Wash. It was this car wash thing you ran through/over/under. It would last about 5 minutes with today's lawsuits, but that thing was a blast.

I'm so glad I didn't think about how nasty the wave pool and lazy river was when I was a kid.

Is anyone else old enough to remember when the road leading into Pigeon Forge was only a two lane hwy?

IIRC, there was a gift shop on the left on the way in to PF that had a soda pop drinking bear as its main attraction.

I remember Silver Dollar City, not Magic World or Gold Rush Junction.

Does anyone remember Ogle's Water Park? I might be dating myself here. Lol
It was literally like the only water park in the surrounding area.

Dollywood does give away free ice water in coke cups, you just have to ask for it. Their counterpart water park Splash Country does the same as well.

Ogle's was the business.

Speaking of which, for a good read look up some history on the Ogle's vs the Gatlin family. It's a very scaled-down Hatfield's/McCoy's type of rivalry. Both families claim the right to Gatlinburg and still dislike each other today. Very interesting read.
