Don Imus on Adam Jones: 'What Color Is He?'

Who cares? He's probably bitter toward black people for the way they overreacted to his comment about the lady Rutgers players. The reaction of Al Sharpton probably did more to promote racism than Don Imus' comment.

Well let's be honest... Pacman doesn't exactly help the sterotypes that black men have. He is a foolish thug. Nobody can argue that. Pacman gives guys like Imus a reason to behave the way he does and say the things that he says.

I have to post on this

Poor Pacman, I feel so sorry for him. He's only been arrested 6 times. How terrible for Imus to not show remorse. Let's just keep in mind that Pacman's the victim in all of this. That's the point that needs to get across.

I can't recall anyone at anytime ever characterizing Pacman as a victim. If anything, he's villified more than he should be.

Imus issued at statement he meant that Pacman was unfairly picked on for being African-American.

. . . which is really hard to believe. I'd have more respect for him if he just said "OK that was dumb. It was a bad attempt at humor."

if this had been his first racist comment, it could slide. a second comment doesn't have that luxury.

I would have more respect for him if he just said nothing at all... I mean, who cares about Pacman? If anything, Pacman brings alot of this attention on himself and he validates a lot of the things that guys like Imus believe about black people. If Pacman or Sharpton want to get mad at someone, they need to look at the thugs that are running around in the black community that are ruining everyday life for everybody else.

I don't remember his first comment directly saying anything about race. He said UT's team was fairly attractive and he said Rutgers was more homely and rough looking. Maybe he chose his words poorly, but I really don't see why he'd say something positive about a team full of black players like UT and then utter a racist comment in the same breath.

i don't think the first time was racist either, but it was construed as such and he lost his job over it.

therefore you'd think he would have learned to pick his words more carefully.

I'm so sick of all this racism crap! If you don't like it, don't listen to it.

Well said sir. Someone should really pay attention to which race is more racist. And which race is more demeaning toward itself. Listen to Cris Rock sometime if you want racism. Then listen to Bill Cosby and see who you would rather have as a spokesperson for his race.

I agree. Anyone who was legitimately offended by this needs to learn to take a freaking joke. This whole situation is ridiculous.

imus is just plain dumb and boring. who the hell listens to this guy anyway?

can't stand him, he is a bitter man who has serious problems. The sad thing is some people are drawn to watch and listen to people like him. It's just like people who slow down at wrecks hoping to see the mangled wreckage and then cringe hypocritically when they see the gore that accidents produce.

I do on occasion, he has good guests, relatively intelligent discussion, basically a polar opposite of the laugh tracks and fart jokes that dominate morning radio.

I heard it several times plus his comments this morning.

He was suggesting he had been arrested 6 times because he was black - profiliing. Dumb statement but he was saying blacks are profiled and arrested more.

BTW - I'm not an Imus fan.

Too late for Imus, he has been cast into the role of one of the guys on a particular episode of South Park.
