Don Imus on Adam Jones: 'What Color Is He?'

I heard it several times plus his comments this morning.

He was suggesting he had been arrested 6 times because he was black - profiliing. Dumb statement but he was saying blacks are profiled and arrested more.

BTW - I'm not an Imus fan.

that's not what it sounded like to me despite his explanation. i didn't think the rutgers thing was a big deal, but their were pretty strong rumors of him being a racist before the rutgers thing happened. stern for instance said he heard imus refer to a secretary by the n-word when he was at NBC. he's a sad old man. time that we stop paying attention to him and all this will go away.

The whole situation is ridiculous . . . Imus trying to play it off with a dumb excuse and actually pretending he has any credibility . . . Sharpton playing the role of the racial ambulance chaser and pretending he has any credibility . . . A guy who has been arrested 6 times being cast in the role of the "victim" and piously stating that he is "praying for Imus" as if he has any credibility. All that's left is for David Duke to come along and offer to mediate the situation.

I feel like if Pac-Man took Don and the Lady Rutgers players to a strip club they'd really be able to work through a lot of their issues.

I think you are 100% correct. It would be interesting if for no other reason than to see who got the most lap dances.

Imus was so much better when his morning radio show was more like Bob and Tom or Johnboy and Billy. Once MSNBC put him on TV, it just went downhill.

That response and explanation was the worst example of crawfishing I have seen in a long time.
