David Stern has a really big headache right now.
It depends. If all they did was gamble in casinos, nobody is going to care. Referees shouldn't do it, and should probably be fired for it, but playing the tables at Mandalay Bay doesn't affect the integrity of the game.

Agreed . . . but for the NBA's sake, I really hope there's not a shred of evidence that multiple referees were toying with the point spread with their whistles.

Very nice hotel by the way. Love the fact it has an aquarium.

Maybe you don't like the NBA, but why would you want to see something like that happen?

Given how gambling saavy America is now, if all Donaghy, or anyone else possibly implicated, did was manipulate game totals and turn 10 point margins into six point victories I'm not sure anyone will be that outraged. The only people getting the short end of that are hardcore gamblers playing NBA regular season games and totals. If it doesn't affect the W/L columns, I don't think most people get bent out of shape.

It is mostly tongue in cheek GAVol. Yea I don't like the NBA, criticizing them is part of my schtick(sp?) on here, I don't really spend any time wishing for the downfall of the NBA. Now look what you have done, made me go and blow my cover.

Federal prosecutors probably will. They don't have anything else to do.

This is a dumb question but I dont care. What would happen if the Globe trotters played a college team in a real Bball game?:)You can plead the 5th
The Globetrotters played a bunch of top flight teams in exhibitions before the NCAA changed the rules on who you could play. They beat a few and held their own with everybody else. The 'Trotters can play.

One guy did make it to the Bucs when Ray Allen was there but he sat the bench I think. Cant remeber his name.
That was Rafer Alston. He's still in the league with Houston. He's actually had a decent career. He was a basketball player who made some money playing streetball, not a streetballer trying to be a basketball player.

Going to the sports book at Ceasars Palace does, though...
