Given how gambling saavy America is now, if all Donaghy, or anyone else possibly implicated, did was manipulate game totals and turn 10 point margins into six point victories I'm not sure anyone will be that outraged. The only people getting the short end of that are hardcore gamblers playing NBA regular season games and totals. If it doesn't affect the W/L columns, I don't think most people get bent out of shape.

Are you willing to say these guys don't affect the W/L column?

YouTube - Did Tim Donaghy and crew fixed game 3 of Suns-Spurs?

After looking at this, I think Eddie Rush in on the fix, also.

Any proof any of them had a financial stake in San Antonio winning the series? If not, it's just the blatherings of paranoid, bitter, loser Suns fans. Oh, wait, that last sentence was redundant. I could have simply said Suns fans, because all of them share the descriptive characteristics I mentioned.

I'm not even a Suns fan, and that has to be the worst officiated game in recent memory.

Are all poorly officiated games fixed?

Gee, that isn't such an innocuous question if you sit down and think about it. We're talking about possibly 20 NBA referees.

I wouldn't say "all", but I would throw the question back to you slightly differently.

Are "some" poorly officiated games fixed?

If you have 20 NBA officials on the hook, you do have to be suspicious of all of the phantom foul calls...

You have one official implicated in influencing games. That official, now a federally convicted felon, starts blathering on about other officials in an attempt to chip away at his time in Club Fed. Until I see something that resembles evidence of the involvement of other officials, I'll take everything at face value.

I would have expected you to be more cynical, hat. I can't believe that Donaghy is a lone wolf and the only NBA ref (or NCAA official or MLB ump, or NFL official) that is in bed with the mob.
