Dont’e Thornton out remainder of season

I felt like (but have never seen stats on it) we came out better than average over the 2022 season, regarding injuries.

Feels like this season is making up the difference.

Has anyone seen year-by-year stats on injuries per team in college football?
How many season ending injuries?
Or a composite of how many games missed per team on average, due to injuries?

It takes years to build resilient depth. I have to go back to the Fulmer years to remember when an injury just meant an opportunity to see the next star take the field.

Bru now Thornton, if Squirrel goes down in the GA game we will be totally screwed.

Edit: we will still beat Vandy just running it every down but a bowl game would be tough to win with no WR with experience.
Isn’t that what VN fans want with the QB tho? Experience for next season? Why is it different concerning WRs?

Heupel just said Dont’e Thornton is out the remainder of the regular season.

Hate to see this especially as he was becoming more part of the offense. Hope the recovery goes well. Get well soon

This means White is probably now WR1 with Nimrod WR2 and Webb WR3.

I wonder if Thornton returns next year.

If you watched the multiple repays and play sports on a conscious level - you knew he was done. I knew it on the first replay, it was obvious. Things (ankles, etc.) don't bend that way. It happens. No offense to Donte, hate it, but this lets you find out about Nimrod and Webb. IMO, they did awesome.....and that bodes WELL for us.
