Don't be surprised when Florida fakes injuries on defense to try and rotate

And I really believe that was intentional. Like you said, the only 2 times they ran with our normal offense and tempo, AP didn't even slow us down.

I am hoping you are right. I really am. And I want to believe UT will look much different this weekend, but this is one of those "I'm going to have to see it first" thigns for me. The big TD throw to the TE was a bit flukey; we scored with it because AP was completely outclassed athletically and couldn't tackle him. It wasn't a big play over the defense like we saw last year. I hope we see some of that ability to open them up with quick plays and then hit deep shots in this next game.

A) I don't get that vibe from Napier.
B) you're assuming Tenn is going to avoid a lot of the 3 n outs they've been having
You might be right about Napier. Maybe he won't. But if we have a 8 to 10 play drive with a bunch of first downs, UF's base personnel will get tired. Even their linebackers are really big.

It might be hard to run right into the middle. I might be tempted to run a bunch of bubble screens early in the game, just to try and get 6 yards a play and get the UF defense gassed early on. Then take deep shots. If we can get a 10 or 14 point lead in the 2nd half, then see if we are able to run on a tired defense.

Florida tries to rotate their D-Line every couple of plays. This is going to occur at some point.

Florida's 2-deep in their Defensive Line has the following guys:

DE-Tyreak Sapp-275 lbs
DE- Kamran James-270 lbs
NT-Cam Jackson-360 lbs
NT-Desmond Watson-435 lbs.<------- anytime that guy is in the feild go into hyperdrive and trap him lol
DT-Jamari Lyons-305 lbs.
DT-Caleb Banks-320 lbs.
DT-Chris McClellan-320 lbs.
435NT what is he good for 2 snaps a series.. they got some big boys in the middle.

That 400lb, fat NT is going to have a time just catching his breath.

He's turrible and immobile.

But if the guys on the field are worn down and cant line up, it doesnt mean one of them cant just lay down. Just because it isnt called from the side doesnt mean it wont happen.

Well, I hope we are both happy Saturday night.

The NCAA really needs to

1) keep the player out for the remainder of the series....for player safety of course
2) Only allow the injured player to be substituted during an Injury time out. Call an illegal substitution penalty if someone else is on the field.
This^ & the injured player cannot play until the next change of balls for the safety of injured players and needs to be looked at cleared by a 3rd party sports Dr. the NCAA should have neutral Dr. randomly assigned like refs if this keeps up. They have the money their making a mint.

The NCAA needs to adopt the following rule:
If a player goes down with an injury that results in stoppage of play…..
1. The injured player must go to the medical tent for a minimum of 5 minutes for the medical staff to evaluate and determine the extent of the injury.
2. The team may substitute for the injured player only.
3. During the injury timeout the coaching staff shall have no contact with the on field players.

Just keep the player out for the rest of the possession, period. It's all about 'player safety' allegedly, right?

Just do that, and you'll see this garbage stop in a hurry. The NCAA is such a POS organization and this makes too much damn sense, so it's likely to never happen.

Exactly what you just said. If someone is really injured, they need to come out, team personnel need a long amount of time to make sure the player is able to play before returning. If a player is tired, sucking wind, and tries to slow things down to catch wind.... faking a sprain or a cramp is cheating. Or if you're getting burned because you are out of shape and can't handle the heat, that's just the way it goes. The other team prepared better than you and should reap the rewards. This fake injury crap needs to stop. It rewards cheating and penalizes the team that had better conditioning and preparation.

This is the only rule the NCAA needs to adopt. It makes complete sense from a player safety standpoint. It will put a halt or drastically reduce the number of times it happens in a game.
It's not as simple as just making them sit out. It's not fair to skill players with a ding. You have to be able to allow your (skill players) QB/MLB back in from a ding. I'm all for fixing this some way just not the way people are proposing it. Some type of repetitive enforcement or something. Idk, I'm sure there is a good way to do it than simply, get a ding, sit a series.

They big. And slow. We will get them moving sideways and be able to take advantage of big holes, or go off tackle and just run right by them.

Wow this is actually pretty reasonable and solves a good part of the problem. Love it.

Hmm, what would do that? Oh yeah, a bunch of sweeps, speed options and bubble screens. Maybe CJH was working on the wear out Florida's front 7 game plan last Saturday. 🤔 😉😛
