Don't set yourself up for a let down Saturday

Sad but true. We are 2 skill players away from upsetting anyone. Any and all upsets still involve a game changer or 2. Presently we have some on D but none on O.

This program needs someone to step up now more than at anytime that I have been following them.

The ones who do any criticizing will get called out as not being true fans. I can't wait to see what the standards are this week to be a Vol fan.
The true fan arguments are silly in my opninion.

I think a lot of the callouts have to do with presentation. But I've stated before and will again that no staff is above critique and accountability.

I am hoping for a good, competitive game for a majority of the game but UT just does not have the depth on offense or defense for a shootout which is what this game will become. Try not to come on this site blasting everyone or calling for a coaching change if the Vols are not victorious on Saturday. It is what it is right now. UT is still in a rebuilding phase.

What do you care what I do?

After 4 coaches ranging from HOF to HOS I think that point has been well illustrated.

who has called for a coaching change?

To some people if you question whether the coach coached say the Oregon game as well as he could... or say tnat in one game or another the available talent was not coached to its potential... You have called for a coaching change.

That's how sports work. If I'm not gonna get my hopes up, I might as well not watch.

Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. Put it in perspective... and that's not just college football.

Anyone know how many players we have that are from Georgia? Maybe we show our best effort to date against Georgia?

I agree. But prepare doesn't mean bank on it happening. I always expect a win, whether I think it'll happen or not. I'll criticize where needed and ill cut stuff slack where needed. Perspective works both ways. There is a middle ground.

That's the thing about volnation that's always guaranteed...positivity, negativity, poor grammar, or other people's opinions are never tolerated. If people didn't criticize each other what really would be on this site

I agree with everything but the bold. It won't be an offensive shootout. We just simply do not have the offensive horses to run with the 'Dogs for 4 quarters.

Having said that...

Go Vols. An upset would be huge.

Exactly! I'm just tired of seeing members being called idiots or stupid for even remotely questioning this coaching staff by some members. We all know they would never do it in person, and I sometimes wonder why its tolerated here.

Before this year started I thought we would win one game that we weren't suppose to. I no longer think that. I expected the passing game to be better than it is.

On a positive note, it is obvious to me that this team is much better coached than the previous years, the talent just isn't there.
