Except that mic has been dropped about 100,000 times already.

Hey, we are going to have great weather, let's go on a picnic.

Oh, with Holly's coaching, we all will get food poisoning.

Hi honey, I just booked us a trip to Hawaii for our anniversary.

Well, with Holly coaching we might as throw ourselves in a volcano.

Hey, you just won the lottery worth 10 million dollars!

Well, with Holly coaching, a small pox epidemic might as well descend upon us, casting the entire planet in a hellscape of misery, petulance, and death.

Exactly. It's pathetic and helps nothing. I wish they would all go throw themselves in a volcano! 🌋🌋🌋🌋🌋

Good to have you back, Alanis Morissette.

The program is bigger than Holly Warlick. Seems we have more Holly fans than Vol fans. It's apparently ok with so many that the program has descended to unheard of depths..with a coach given what basically constitutes a college super team ...and yet finds a way to lose double digit games consistently...get ousted in the 1st round of the SEC tournament, and bring the program down to a level it had NEVER before experienced. Oh....but don't say anything negative about Holly. Who cares if the program is dangerously approaching a pit of despair that might be impossible to get out of...we need to protect this ONE PERSON's feelings and be more understanding and accepting of the Lady Vols fate, cuz gosh oh gee..Holly is doing the best she can...sort of...maybe. Just accept the gross under performing as part of the deal cuz Holly's happiness and security is more important than the University....the boosters and fans. Forget winning. Be happy with the memories of those national titles. Weren't they great? But THAT isn't important anymore. What's important is we protect this ONE PERSON at the detriment of EVERYONE ELSE, and the success of what was an elite program cuz gee whiz...Holly is really trying....kind of...sort of.

Warlick is associated closely with Summitt, and a lot of older fans can't bear the thought of breaking with the Summitt era, even though it is long gone and even though Warlick quite clearly was not qualified to take over this program in the first place. A close friendship is not the right qualification to lead a great basketball program. That's the gist of it.

Just because you can write a narrative does not mean it has any connection to reality. Even the most ardent Holly supporters recognize that there need to be improvements. The pro-Holly camp simply suggest that she has accomplished enough with her multiple SEC appearances, Sec title, and # 1 recruiting class to see what transpires this year. Given that her presence as coach, also corresponded to Diamond and Mercedes staying for their final years of eligibility, staying the course has had one pay off. But, if Holly fails to deliver a Final four with this line-up, I don;t think too many will argue that she deserves another year.

Does anyone honestly think Holly will be fired anytime soon? Seems like it's more venting than expecting anything to be done in the immediate future.

So you think that if Holly whiffs on a FF appearance this year that she should be replaced?

Of course it depends,. Let's say the LVs play great all year, steam roll the opposition to an undefeated run but Mercedes, Diamond, and Jamie sustain injuries in the sweet 16 game and can't play in the regional final. But the LVs still play a close game only to lose the lead on a blatantly bogus foul call in the dying seconds of the game.

Under that scenario, I would say no, Holly should not be replaced with a 34-1 record and no FF. I can give you lots of scenarios, however, where the answer would be yes.

So, again, Holly is here for next year so let's see what transpires.
