He had a Commit list full of two and three star guys that saying maybe some of those guys are underrated but doubt it.

Seth Ancar - OLB from La. looks to be pretty good. He is 6' 190 and is a 3 star. Looks pretty damn good.

Dooley better not pull an OGRE. Those kids committed to LA Tech should never be called by UT.

Why not ? Do they not "have enough stars" behind there name. Not every kid wants to go to this BIG schools and obviously some follow coaches when they should be looking at the school and not the liars and ogres.

One assumes that DD knows the HS coaches and players in the LA/MS region, which is one of the country's hotbeds for HS football recruits. I would hope that starting next year, he could recruit some to UT.

I hope UT is not recruiting the same kids as LA Tech.

Don't be a fool. He even said in his presser that the star players he had at LA Tech would have a hard time getting in the game at UT. He has a clue. Though at a point it becomes about warm bodies.

Dooley has class.

Orgeron did not erase the whole big board when he left.

Dooley will decide quickly which assistants he is keeping. That will go a long way to deciding whether we end up with a class ranked 9 or 10 this year or 16 or 17.

It will first depend on what assistants he keeps and what assistants he hires. Some UT recruits will stay, some will leave, and some will follow the new assistants to UT. I hope Dooley can convince Jacques Smith, Corey Miller, and Markeith Ambles to stay. These guys were doing a lot of recruiting for UT. That will also help.

Just wondering Is there Any possibility that Coach Dooley might bring some of his good recruits along to UT with him since we had some decommits.Or do they have any 3* or 4* recruits that can play at this level.

With what we've seen happen here...he needs to be above board and leave them alone. We don't need to start down that path.

Some positive news about his recruiting abilities

in 2004 and 2005 LT only pulled 2 3* players. This years class has 8 3* recruits and 9 3* recruits last year with Dooley

Wonder if there are any big recruits he couldn't pull to LT that he could sway to come here.

8 three star guys and the 86th ranked class at the moment for La Tech.....maybe 2 can play at this level.

Its possible that some recruits that he and assistants that join him at UT were recruiting kids to La Tech who may have been 3-stars and up not just for this year but next. Its possible those kids might have liked him and the other coaches but couldn't see themselves playing in Ruston now give them a call or listen to them since they are at UT.

Marques Pair would be LA Tech's headliner.... come on guys, really?

If we don't want mediocrity on the football field, we can't have mediocrity in recruiting. Point blank.

Let's try to keep our recruits in the fold and only sign players that we really think can play at an SEC level (i.e. Ambles, Dixon, C. Green)
