Dooley bringing any recruits possibly?

I would say that it is more likely that there are kids in his recruiting area with whom he has a good relationship but who were a little too highly rated for LaTech to have a good shot at them. I'd look at people he may have offered who are now committed to LSU, A&M, the Mississippi Schools, etc. Just a hunch.

That makes more sense.

The only player I could see even considering a switch to Tennessee would be Dominique Sanders of Dunbar (Fort Worth, Texas) He did have an offer from Tennessee.....but recently picked LaTech. Decent size, and speed. Played in Texas...so he has played against good comp. Just one to think about. He is only a (2) star player.

Along that vein, I put together a the following list. If anyone has an opinion on whether any of these prospects could be Vols, let's hear it. Not a complete list by any means, I just took a quick look at the top of the public version of LaTech's board on Scout.

1. Elisha Olabode CB committed to TCU
2. Pat McNeil DT uncommitted
3. Bryan Jones DT uncommitted
4. Charles Barkins OL uncommitted (has a TN offer) edit: This is per Scout but not Rivals.
5. Asian Ruff S uncommitted (Arky lean?)

I have heard that CDD has ran alot of the 3-4 defense at LaTech. I would like to see us go after a couple more DT built like Dan Williams if that is the case. Tim McAdoo, currently committed to Kentucky(Only offer he has), and James Carmen would be 2 to consider. If John Brown gets into school..and sticks with Tennessee, I would think he would do well at this spot too. JMO

Anybody we may want that he recruited?

I asked the same question in two other threads befofre I seen this one and then after reading some of the post n this thread I read where some said recruiting the players from LA Tech would be wrong , and i couldn't agree more. Was not thinking at first but why do something to someonethat made us so angry this past week .

There is no doubt UT recruits better quality players then La Tech but that doesnt mean those recruits arent good. Currently Tech has a DT that is ecxpected to go in the 2nd round of this years draft D'Anthony Smith at DT.

Its very rare to see big men from small schools go that high in the NFL draft from a small school program. Most small schools produce athletic types players (Cbs, Wrs, RBs QBs).

If Dooley and his assistant coaches are any good at coaching Im satisfied with recruits that work well in there system and fit the tradition of Tenn football. I dont care if there 1 stars to 5 stars. Prefer 5 star athletes obv. but I 'm most interested in how the coaches coach and improve what talent they have.

This is one that I would look for, especially now that Terry Joseph is coming over from LaTech (he was being recruited by Joseph)
