Read the article. Reads like it was written by a 16 year old whose football had been stolen by the bully. Not Professional in structure or prose. Somebody pays this guy? Almost anyone on this site could make the same case, one any half savvy fan is more than aware of, and be just as verbose. End of the Dooley era, what shocking news. But of course, he called it last year at the UGA game. Genius.

I want him gone just as much as the next guy, but I don't understand why everybody is rushing it. I don't think it'll make a difference in our selection for a Head Coach.

One reason not to announce it is that the team will likely quit for the rest of the season. I've worked with a team going through the loss of their head coach and it's not pretty. Some teams rally around it, but many others simply quit because they don't know how to react to losing the guy who recruited them.

Ultimately, the AD wants this team in a bowl game. Thus, waiting until that's no longer possible might not be a bad idea. However, that only goes when you can keep a lid on the fact he's been fired.

because just sitting on it and doing nothing makes the fanbase question not just dooley, but everyone involved...hart, cheek, etc. The disgrace that has taken place this year in ut football is unparalleled...we've truly never seen anything like it. The fanbase DESERVES a simple statement at the very least

no announcement probably means that no decision has been officially made. Hart may already know what is going to be done but probably needs to iron out details, etc...Could come in 10 minutes or 10 weeks, imo. Imo, CDD probably is gone but if he wins out and gets to a bowl, it wouldn't surprise me if he bought himself another year. Only thing that is for sure is that no one knows anything for sure outside of Hart and other decision makers.
