Hiring Golden will not unite or excite the majority of the Tennessee fan base.. The individuals making the decisions about the next coach of the Vols need to remember that it should be part of the equation, because the UT fan base hasn't been united for a very long time, and the program needs that.

Golden should NOT be considered at all...He is a career losing coach and is losing at Miami with a boatload of talent...They hire him and I'll be done with them...It will prove to the world they have no clue what they are doing.

I totally agree that Golden would be the worst decision ever. I am just wondering who this Larry is and if he is a reliable source. Not that familiar with people on here.

Gruden may or may not happen but Golden being hired is as likely as Petrino. Both are at zero percent happening. Golden would be well down the line we arent hiring a coach with a losing record.

I've seen so many people say so many different things on here, I couldn't begin to tell you what Larry has been right or wrong on. Sorry. I know he has missed on recruits from time to time. Larry would be the first to tell you though that he's not right all of the time. He is a well respected poster though. You can read through his past posts by clicking on his name, unless that feature has been removed.
