Do the names Lennon Creer and Ahmad Paige ring any bells? They were sitting out their transfer year this year. I do belive CDD upgraded the talent at La Tech. They will probably improve next year even with him at Tennessee. I understand they were absolutely devastated mid-season this year with injuries. Starting walk-ons at wide receiver. Probably helps explain the records. But look at the stat improvements during the time he was there, Scoring offense, Scoring defense, Turnover margin, etc. This is where games are won and lost.

He didn't beat them, but he made Tiger fans sweat it last year, only losing by 8.

Probably because 18 of those 27 were last year and this year. If you only look at one stat about someone, you can make anyone or anything seem worse than it is. Peyton Manning has thrown 181 interceptions so he must suck.

They ring a bell. But you want to explain why they went there? If those two were that big time, they would/could have gone where ever they wanted to. They were both built up to be great athletes and never panned out.

I do come away with the impression he did pretty well at La Tech recruiting based on previous years and they were getting better players and were improving.

I know he recruited well with Saban at LSU but I was curious how he did on his own.

I literally and visually cringed when he said "heck" during his announcement speech. I can't stand that and I'm hoping some close to the program have told him how much the fans hate that word and that phrase.

Seriously.... if he starts saying "heck" I may have to become a donating booster just to have a chance to tell him how bad it sounds.
