Reading all the posts and comments about Bray not getting drafted, I can't help but wonder if Dooley at least chuckled if only to himself? If I was in his shoes I woukd have!

Those 2 certainly had their differences. Dools will be fine, not sure about Bray.

If I were Dooley the only thing I'd be worried about is making sure Dez Bryant made me look good so I don't get s-canned again.

I could definately tell during the last Dereck Dooley show tha he was doing all he could to hold back downing Bray.. He did take a couple of shots though. I think Bray knew long before seasons end he was gone anyway!

If Dooley had taken any interest in Tyler Bray the person (and the rest of the PEOPLE on the team), then he would probably still be the coach and Bray would have been a top-two round draft pick.

Instead, Dooley declined to have any real personal relationship with most of his players and left his interactions with them completely on the field. It was and is his biggest failing as a coach and he will never be a successful coach at any level until he changes that.

If Dools had a decent back-up, Bray would have been benched and he (Bray) would probably still be at UT now. Bray gave up on his team (both in '11 and '12) on several occasions. Bray was Dool's only horse and he had to use him. I"m glad they're both gone.

I side with Bray on this one. Dooley was not a football coach and once everyone caught on the players had no desire to play for him. He was aloof, a smartass, and he was a de-motivator. Not only did he throw players under the bus but coaches as well. Anyone ask themselves why coaches left Dooley in droves?

Bray, for all his faults, was clearly the best Dooley had to play. And he didn't recruit Bray is why. Otherwise, I doubt Dooley beats NCState, ole miss, Vandy or ky.

Not only Dools laughing at Bray , he is also laughing at UT for being stupid enough to give him a $5 mil buyout.

Butch throws them under the bus in front of the whole team and media over a loudspeaker but that's positive reinforcement, right?

I love what our new coach is doing, but Dooley wasn't anymore of a de-motivator than butch. It's called accountability now, but what were we saying when things were headed south?

Ha Ha ...spot on ! Winning hearts and minds means "accountability"... Losing = "throwing under vehicles"...... Where is the clarity of the moment ???

I'm sorry I don't agree. It's not the same. That's why you keep seeing quotes in the paper about the players having fun again and feeling joy in the game. Butch may call players or coaches out over a microphone, but he also praises them and uses bad technique or effort as an opportunity to teach. I liked Dooley for as long as I could, and since I no longer knew anyone on staff I was unaware of how neglectful he was not just in recruiting but in personal relationships with players, staff, support staff and so on.

I truly believe our guys are going to play for Butch. And so I'm so happy his last name isn't Davis.

One big difference, Butch knows what he is doing and has taken the time to personally know the player's, they respect that. How do you Dooley lovers explain Butch's recruiting? Dooley is and was a douche.

Why? It is just more proof that his entire coaching career at UT was a failure. He couldn't get a guy with that kind of talent drafted. That is inexcusably horrible.

You Doolites make me sick to my stomach....that man was the worst UT coach in our history and set us back years and it is now common knowledge that he didn't even want to be here the final 2 years........please never ever defend him again or say anything remotely positive about him...you lash out at players who are just kids but speak positively about the worst coach who has ever set foot on our campus and who is screwing us out of money that he failed to earn as we speak.....go punch yourself in the face 1 million times fake fan.

I don't get all the BS and hate for Bray. Damn folks, get your head out yo arses. IT WAS THE DEFENSE that tanked this team last year! It was the defense that let Florida come from behind late in the 3rd Qtr. and get out ahead, to steal that game. It was the damn defense that put the offense in such a hole against UGA, that it took a heroic effort...yes, by Bray himself...to get us back within striking distance. Same thing with USCjr.

It was Sal Sunseri, who had been a career position coach before, whose defense laid down for Bama. It was the defense, who let us down in EVERY freaking loss. You idiots who keep laying blame on Bray don't have a damn clue. The statistics don't lie. THIS DEFENSE WAS THE WORST IN UT HISTORY! What funking part of that don't you get?

Conversely, this offense was one of the most prolific in UT history. You look like the shiitter who blamed the toilet for the stench.

If anyone should be laughing, it is probably that bada$$, who is going to instill some toughness and discipline (you fools claimed this time last year)...Sal Sunseri. He's got millions in the bank just for pretending he could coach a defense. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

Dooley is probably laughing at Mike Hamilton for giving him a job he never qualified for and making him rich regardless.
