Not only would I not be shocked if Chipper had been juicing, at this point I honestly think I'd be surprised to find out he's been clean the whole time. He's been hurt a lot, and "geting over injuries" seems to be the most common excuse.
Chipper works out too hard, and is too much of a competitor to have not at least experimented with certain now-banned substances during the late 90's-early 00's. Chipper is one player whom I can assure you tried something at some point. And I really can't blame him, because I would have done the same thing. Chipper's the consummate weight room rat-- I doubt he'll ever be out of shape.
Pssh... There's absolutely no reason to think Jeter hasn't. The Yankees have been one of the more focal teams in all of the steroid controversy. It wouldn't surprise me at all to find Jeter used anabolics for multiple seasons. Simply no reason to assume he's exempt from the steroid discussion. That's not to take anything away from what he's done, there's plenty of better reasons to point out how over-rated he is that have nothing to do with PED use.
I often wonder about Ken Griffey Jr and Jim Thome. Their names do not seem to surface as much as others in the steroid allegations.. Both were great power hitters in their prime. Thome got so much bigger over his career compared to when he first came up with Cleveland. Innoncent until proven guilty, I guess.
Why not Casey? Very good stick, but power has decreased over the course of his career. Big guy, good stick, no pop. Knowing him, I would never believe he's a PED guy.
griffey power decreased as he got older, which should be the way it happens, he never been to big griffey never took peds imo, nor did chipper jones, you say look at all his injuries well he wouldnt have so many if he was jucing...these 2 i firmly beleive are clean
