Dormady

Not worked up at all it is amazing that so few can read and comprehend though. Please show me where I said Dobbs didn't play good against Alabama. All I ever said was that I wanted to see it from start to finish before I got carried away. Deal with it.

Still haven't "got carried away" myself...nor have the majority of Vol fans. You didn't explicitly state that Dobbs snuck up on Bama's backups, but you seem to have all of Saban's excusefest postgame comments committed to memory. Saban committed the cardinal error of refusing to admit a player was better than they thought. Bama has never "let up" on us. This kid took it to them and that deserves respect.

Ok respect. We still lost 34-20. Happy now? Once again for the 100th time I never said Dobbs didn't play well in that game. Not sure why I even bother.

So Alabama up 27-0 didnt play any backups and never relaxed? Ok did Alabama practice expecting Dobbs to play? Saban said after the game we were caught off guard by Dobbs playing then relaxed when we got up by four touchdowns. This argument is stupid. Believe what you want. I love Dobbs but I just think people are expecting a little much. If it makes your summer great then so be it. Enjoy.....just tired of the constant talk talk talk and not backing it up. Rather talk after the fact then before but maybe thats just me.

Don't mean to argue, but they went up 27-0 with 12:00 to go in the 2nd qtr. I obviously can't say definitively whether or not Bama let up soon after the end of the 1st quarter, but I can't imagine that the coaches pulled some of their starters at that point....and if they did, surely they put them back in soon thereafter after Dobbs helped close the gap to 27-10 at the half and 27-17 midway thru the 3rd quarter.

Also, Bama's run defense at that point in the season was #1 in the country, allowing only 63 yds rushing per game....Dobbs ran for 75 yds by himself behind arguably the worst OL in the country. Finally, Bama's defense finished 2nd in the SEC and 12th in the nation in total defense last year. That was a very good defense that Dobbs played against last year.

Otherwise, as I've stated earlier, we're in large part very much in agreement about Dobbs as our QB.

I don't think we should redshirt Dormady. If Dobbs has no plans to go pro after this season (which according to his degree plan, he doesn't) we should put in Dormady with any big lead to keep Dobbs healthy and then redshirt him next year when Dobbs is boosting his stats for the draft.
