Draft order of the 2014 incoming class

OP needs to change the description as rank your top 10 players of our 2014 recruiting class.

Because somehow even after explaining it people are thinking it's who will get eventually drafted.

Our first game is 16 weeks away so topics like this are as good as anything else that could be discussed. Does every thread require a "realistic voice of reason"? There is a happy median between delusional (VandyMania) and
being an overly grounded killjoy (the football forum on VN).

The op's biggest mistake was making no mention of either Derek Barnett or Dontavious Blair who would be in my top 5:

1) Josh Malone
2) Dewayne Hendrix
3) Jalen Hurd
4) Dontavious Blair
5) Derek Barnett
6) Von Pearson
7) Chris Weatherd
8) Todd Kelly JR
9) Cortez McDowell
10) Dillon Bates or Charles Mosley (he will be a good OT I think)

Anyway, I think it's a fun topic but if you don't agree then why post to it?

OP, Hurd may have the best college career of any of these vols, but the trend in the NFL has been to draft running backs later in the draft.

WR's, and DB'S are the best bet to go first from our class

I know college and pro are completely different but I'm sticking to my rule of don't draft a running back at #1.

With that in mind I'd go Pearson, Malone, then TK Jr.

Hurd won't be drafted extremely early because of the decline in value with runningbacks. They're a dime a dozen now.
