* Fully wearing tin foil over n my head as I type this.Yeah. Because you guys have offered better explanations for clear patterns in penalties, right? It doesn't even have to be some backroom plot. It could be subconscious bias influenced in various ways... including conversations at the SEC offices about how the league needs one loss or undefeated teams to assure a spot in the CFP.
So do you have an alternative, "non-conspiracy" explanation for why UK and Bama got no live ball fouls? Both committed them. Bama committed a lot of them.
It will be interesting to see if that latter part does indeed happen.
My thoughts exactly...LOL...while I certainly don't subscribe to an organized SEC conspiracy, all the "conspiracy theories" lately that we've learned where 100% true have me wondering about the SEC too. Eventually Truth is a hard barrier to hide so who knows about sports too.I am about to start calling “conspiracy theories” “spoilers” considering all the crazy stuff that has turned out to be true these past few years
I actually said the same thing out loud last week* Fully wearing tin foil over n my head as I type this.
I have been wondering if our style of tempo offense subconsciously irritates the officials. My rationale for this starts with how our players will only give the ball to the official who is going to spot it. I have seen during the game the sideline official hold out his hands for the ball after the play and our player doesn’t give it to him. Instead he runs to the official who is going to spot it. Next, the officials don’t get as long of a mini break between plays either. As such they become biased against us for making them work harder for their paychecks.
I've wondered the same. Doing our game makes them work harder. Out of shape, older guys don't like that. I think it's why they stand over the ball to slow our snap. It's their version of the fainting goat or our lineman flop after an extra point.* Fully wearing tin foil over n my head as I type this.

There’s not many old, out of shape referees in the SEC. They look for tall, younger guys who are in great shape.I've wondered the same. Doing our game makes them work harder. At one point a large number of SEC refs came from the state of ….. drum roll please…. Alabama but I can’t say that today although Steve Shaw is a bamer & he was head of officiating until he took the national job.
I think the winners get the calls more often. Yankees get the calls in the MLB, Celtics & Lakers get the calls in the NBA, UNC gets the calls in the ACC, etc.
Yeah but he has a point and I’ve thought of this too. A top 10 matchup between TN and UGA would be prime time tv and bring in a ton of viewers. It also helps UGA’s resume and I guarantee you the SEC wants to make sure an SEC team gets in.Statistically, I think there's a higher probability of seeing Bigfoot riding the Loch Ness monster down the Tennessee River than to see the officials call a game in our favor.
If something occurs today that people can’t or don’t want to acknowledge, they simply label it a “conspiracy theory”.

This brings up a good point for the conspiracy guys - the SEC refs will be flag happy against Dink, and they will want UT UGA game on CBS to be for all the marbles, so naturally expect us to get all kinds of good calls and no holding etc.

No I am not holding my nose I am hoping Mississippi wins. Kiffin is just another coach to me at this point. But the main thing is we take care of business this weekend and win against Missouri. Even if Georgia beats Mississippi beating Georgia would be doing something nobody else has done. It would also go along way to ease the sting of losing to Florida. And if we close out with a win against Vandy it would ensure us of a very high ranking and probably a top notch New Years 6 bowl. GBOYep, this means we have to hold our nose and root for Kiffin this weekend.
