Just a reminder in case you were in the fence about Mizzou

He will eat those last words Saturday and I hope he remembers them when he cries about the score .. “ Pressure does crazy things to people “ . It’s not you Drinky we are just under a lot of pressure , to score a lot of points . 😊

It's a video and IDK the show or situation really. The comment tho was something about holding off on his W-L record because he expects some of TN wins against him to be vacated over violations. From Pruitt's time I assume

Edit: His comment was made last summer, not this week or anything
Thank you

I don’t have a problem with anything Drinkwitz said. Pruitt was going to extreme lengths to cheat and got caught. As a coach whose program had to compete directly against that, I don’t blame him for spiking the ball a bit and not using coach speak.

Now if he does again, aiming at CJH, that’s different. But we’re going to absolutely demolish Mizzou anyway that it doesn’t really matter.
Most coaches will focus on their own program. It's a loser mentality to try to make others look worse to make yourself look better. Our investigation doesn't change the fact that his record still stinks.

I remember that back in the summer and I'm pretty sure he was trying to be funny. Some on here got themselves offended then and apparently still are. I really don't think it was cheap shots. He is not stupid.

If I'm under the pressure of running an SEC program and playing by the rules while someone I compete with directly on the field and for recruits is blatantly cheating to the extreme, I'm probably going to take a shot at them too.

And who said his record doesn't still stink??? Nice strawman.

Then take a shot at them without being lame and trying to deflect from your own failures. He hasn't been competitive with us on or off the field.

And who said his record doesn't still stink??? Nice strawman.

I don't know what you're talking about with the strawman stuff. He said (paraphrasing), I know you're getting ready to talk about my record, but let's hold off on that until we see what happens with Tennessee's investigation because my record may improve. Regardless of what happens with us, his record stinks. He only played one game against Pruitt anyway.

Yep, that is key element that proves Drinkwitz was just being a jerk during this interview.

He became Mizzou's head coach in 2020. Pruitt stopped being Tennessee's coach at the end of 2020. The two played each other once.

So instead of being 11-12 as Mizzou's head coach at the time of this interview, one vacated loss to Tennessee would make him 11-11.

Clearly, it wasn't really about shining his record up.

No, he was using our program's hardship as an excuse to be a smartass. Just for the immature thrill of it.

Actually, if that’s the extent of our punishment…vacating 3 wins from 2020…I’m good with that.

It probably won't be.

If we have to vacate scholarships, we'll probably have to vacate 11. Eight from 2019, and three from 2020.

Fellas like To'o To'o, who were recruited in 2018 and played every game in 2019 and 2020, would be the fault line.

We do know for a fact the cheating started in September 2018. That was announced by the university when they wrapped up the internal investigation and turned it over to the NCAA.

What we don't know, and may never directly know, is which lads were proven to have taken money.

Kinda hoping beyond hope that To'o To'o and the others who started playing immediately upon arrival weren't among those. But what are the chances of that? If you're paying someone under the table, it's most likely to be an immediate-impact someone.

So yeah, brace for 11. And hope it's less.

Go Vols!

Not just somewhere, right from the start from one of the very best.

(or very worst depending on how you're defining it)

I mean you're probably right but I was thinking a coach that wears a little darker shade of red. Some might call it Crimson....

The game will be over by halftime. Noon games gets our offense clicking early. Nothing like Tiger Blood to get that nasty taste of dog out your mouth. TN 66 Mizzou 17

I'm picking up what you're laying down. Just saying it might have been further refined there, but it was born many, many years before, birthed by an individual of even slimier lineage.

I was very surprised that with the new woman AD that she actually added years to this dudes contract. He came in as a supposed offensive guru and their offense is awful. I want to see the Vols put up another big number on Mizzou Saturday. Guess they enjoy mediocrity at Mizzou.

I don't understand why we bothered to allow these schools like Mizzou and Ark into the conference when we did. Did we really need another Vandy? I feel even stronger about allowing Texas and OK in....just pollutes the whole thing if you ask me.

I grew up in St. Louis and still follow sports teams on the Post Dispatch. From time to time I read the Mizzou Talk Forum. Many fans wanted the HC fired. There were also some who were upset that they let Josh Heupel get away. I'm very glad he's our HC!!!

Dude is just looking to find a rival. They are literally, THE ONLY TEAM that I can say doesn’t have a rivalry game since Texas A&M and Bama has heated to that point now.

I'm infinitely more offended by this then I am any comments Drinkwitz made about Pruitt's confirmed cheating.

Tennessee is going to help kick Eliah's arse out the door and he'll be somewhere else in 2023 after Missouri goes to the Gasparilla Bowl.
