He is great. He has a successful heat and air business in West Monroe. That's how the producers found him. He has done work for and been friends with Willie for a few years.

I know exactly where Phil lives...I have a friend I go down to see every year that lives about a 1/2 mile from him...1st time I ever went there,Jimmy Red and Martin were there picking up a boat of Phil's...have went by there a few times...they are no where near W Monroe,its in the sticks on the Oauchita River...and that isn't Willie's house either,its somebody who is in Russia on business for a while...Now Willie may have bought it since then though...but they are all good,down to earth people...

and pretty much everything on the show is scripted...I've been watching Duck Commander since the video tape days,then the Benelli presents Duck Commander show,and it isn't anywhere close to those shows as far as content...but it is funny and wholesome entertainment...
