Not a Duke fan but Laettner was a winner 4 Final Fours 3 National Championship games and back to back National Champion one of the best college players and clutch in the end game situations ask Kentucky and Connecticut wasn't dirty just competitive as heck.I will always be a Tennessee fan but I also appreciate great talent and he was one of the best

Being a great player does not mean you cannot be dirty. Laettner was great and dirty. You should read the book about the Dream Team and why everyone hated him so much.

Your rite he was hated but who said you had to be liked to be a winner ,Kobe Bryant god rest his soul was a winner but had very few friends in the game Shaq disliked him for years and others also and let us remember the greatest Michael Jordan was not invited to to many parties when he played either

Where did I say you have to be liked to be a winner? Being liked, being dirty, and being great are all different factors. One does not necessarily affect another. You can be dirty and great. You can play clean and be great. That was my only point.

Christian Laettner was a great college basketball player. He was also dirty.

Well, the ones who actually officiated the game obviously didn’t have a problem with it.
I think Bilas is an obnoxious, washed up, overpaid jackass, but that’s simply my opinion. Everybody’s got an opinion and everybody’s got that other thing…

With as much crap as Bilas has been spewing, I think that he no longer qualifies as having a mouth and has a second anal cavity. It really stinks for him that the second one is right under his nose...literally. Probably also would make chewing food difficult if he wasn't puckered up so tightly now that Coach K is gone.

Laettner played 33 years ago. Yeah, Allen is recent. Two players out of the many Coach K has had isn’t bad
They're the two that come to mind when you have no interest in watching Duke more than absolutely necessary. If I had sufficient interest the list would be longer. Suffice to say they did very obviously dirty stuff, had reputations built on that dirty play, and did not face lasting punishment from Coach K for it (hence he was fine with it).

Well, same here. I never watch them much to speak of either. But I always thought K ran a good clean program

So Bilis calls several of our games this season but the FIRST TIME he says anything about us being dirty, is when we play Duke. FU Jay.
Also, he never EVER said a word about a Duke player punching Tyler Hansbrough or the constant dirty play of Grayson Allen.

He called Grayson Allen a "petulant toddler" after the Elon game a few years ago. I was watching.

As the old coach‘s saying goes “you either coach it or you allow it.”
