Typical Duke win. Look great for ten minutes, average or even worse for the other 30.

Either they should draw a good 2 seed draw.

You sound excited. And no that is not a typical Duke win. Maybe Typical of the past 3 years without a post.

They were winning that way in the late 90s too. Also in the '01 run. I actually am excited to see that kind of play back. It's when they are their best. A good draw can get them to Detroit. A Memphis-Duke matchup might score 50 total points, and I like Duke in that type of matchup. Also could see a win over UCONN if they get a No. 1.

Possibly a win over UNC, but Louisville and Pitt would annihilate Duke.

Ahh, I thought you were referring to how they go ice cold. I was just pointing out a solid big man would really, really help.

I think with a good draw an Elite 8 is very doable. Do not want to see L'ville though.

I would like to see a Memphis vs. Duke game. I think that would be a good game. Just keep UL from both of these teams. :)

the second half would possibly draw the lowest Nielson ratings ever of a 1-2 matchup. Unless people just fall asleep and leave the TV on. The D being played would not appeal to the average or below fan.

Its too bad he couldn't be "ready to go" against FSU, it probably would have been another good game. Between the two teams.

Who knows? I think Williams made it clear the ACC tournament didn't mean much of anything to them...which is kind of disconcerting to Tarheel fans...I mean...where is the competitive spirit?

I also think it's pretty clear that UNC is average at best without Lawson...which is to be expected...you are talking about the best player in the ACC...as voted on by coaches and the media

I bet it would have meant a lot more if they knew it was going to guarantee them a #1 seed in the tourney, but I agree, where is the competitiveness???

Now they are tied with 17 titles a piece.....

Roy and the boyz are more focused on winning the more important tournament. W/out Lawson 100% healthy, we'd struggle to make it thru the first weekend. 6 games left.

hard to call the tourney champs the actual conference champs. IMO, UNC won the conference.

Thats awesome. It's a shame the ACC recognizes the tourney champ as champ. Shame shame shame.

A 4 day tv revenue binge with little interst from those in the real title hunt should determine the champion? Ludicrous.

Of course the conference wants to exaggerate the importance as it keeps the revenues pouring in, but that's hardly reason to buy into that foolishness.

As someone posted in relation to the question about whether a tourney or regular season title matters more, I find it much more impressive to be the best team over a stretch of months and in taking on absolutely everyone in the conference, as opposed to being the one that wins a couple of games over a period of a few days over teams that may either be worn out or be flukes anyway (e.g., Georgia).
