I always find it strange that Neal Brown is a P5 head coach and I watched him play High School football at Boyle Co. God, I am old.

This Rite at the end of this Bowl game would encourage me to throw the game. Most reprehensible celebration I can imagine.

He’s 43. That means you were watching Peyton and Tee at Tennessee while he was at Boyle County. That’s not very old

I also sold Cokes and hotdogs in Neyland when Jimmy Streater played QB. Got a few years under my belt.

Here is an article with the list of the SEC tie ins.

That’s an older article from 5 years ago; I presume SDS might have a more up to date article somewhere else on the site? Here’s one from CollegeFootballNews this year re: each conference’s bowl tie-ins:

CollegeFootballNews.com - College Football Bowl Ties, Affiliations For Each Conference 2023-2024

The SEC alternates with the Big Ten between the Las Vegas Bowl (2020, 2022, 2024) and Duke's Mayo Bowl (2021, 2023, 2025). This year, the SEC is expected to go to the Duke's Mayo.

UNC and Mack Brown seem to throw bowl games a lot. That was their 4th consecutive bowl loss and they are 2-10 in bowls since 2010
It seems to be a theme since Mack has taken over. I get that almost everyone sat out,but Carolina wouldn't be playing in these kind of bowls if they could have won the winnable games like Georgia Tech and Virginia.

Year 5 of this with Mack. He was a great coach, but time passes everyone by.
