Good to see us keeping guys from our own backyard close to home. It's a kid like this that can make a positive impact for a championship football team down the line.

I am sure he is a nice kid and a good pick up for someone just not the Vols. I also don't want any Vandy turncoats, let them stay right where they are or transfer to PSU, problem with that is now Franklin wouldn't take them and I know we shouldn't. Some had their chance. This current Knox pick up is not going to add much to this class.

Sorry, this is off topic but while we're talking about Maryville, how is it that their head coach has not been offered a position somehwere at the collegiate level? I would think someone like an MTSU or UTC would at least offer him a position coaching job. The level of dominance that program has sustained over the years, the guy must know what the hell he's doing!

Those are the schools we should be competing against? Since when did we quit recruiting against Ga., Fl, Ala, LSU, Auburn and those type of teams. First time Jones has disappointed.

You know he is junior in high school right? There is still plenty of time for him to improve his stock. You never know, before its over he could pick up a 4th star and have offers from several SEC schools. Stop being so negative. At the very least he will provide some depth.

Ok look at Emmanuel Moseley he's looking good as an EE and he was commited to UNC Charlotte when we stole him I believe. You have no idea.

You're right. I just get pissed at kids who were considering Vandy and now want us. But your comment is well taken. Thanks for pointing out the obvious.

When you're 6'6 and a 17 year old junior in HS, it really can be hard to gain a lot of weight unless you've been a heavy dude your entire life who happened to gain height with age. 230 is pretty good all things considered. Bow that he's committed and will likely be given a weight and exercise plan our nutrition as well as our S&C experts -- one designed to help young people who have metabolism to spare gain weight -- he should have little trouble making those gains.
