I hope he gets that hamstring right and can show out. This man gave us his all and I am glad that this man who positively represents the University of Tennessee is on his way to the league. Congratulations to him. What an example of being humble and patient. He could have bolted after his freshman year but he got better and didn’t take the easy way out.

What is this thread??? No gloom and doom? No 'sky is falling? No 'we're gonna suck without him? No predictions of a worse record and losing RBs in the portal, or recruiting, or coaching? No calling him selfish or complaints about players leaving and the game changing for the worse?

I'm stunned. But so grateful the misery is self contained.

Hallelujah!

Was awesome watching him in Orange. I remember the first time I saw him run. I forget the backs that were ahead of him but you could tell even as a frosh he was the most talented back we had.

Watching him pan out as the best RB I’ve seen at Tennessee was amazing. The young man runs hard and doesn’t go down easy.

Not a big surprise. Running backs aren’t as prized in the NFL as they used to be. His stock will never be higher than it is now. Good luck to a VFL.
Especially when pro organizations openly practice age discrimination. Dalton Knecht would have made another $5 per year if he was probably one year younger.

Thank you Dylan for being a first class Vol! And a Vol for Life.

Recall watching an interview of him during August camp before his Freshman year. Had a quiet confidence and serious approach that was striking for such a young guy.

Another notable memory was his big 2nd halves in multiple conference games this year. IMO that resulted from hard training/prep and a strong will to keep chugging.

There's a difference between a player that left it all on the field and a player that just collected a check and leaves

Can’t believe he is not staying to finish his degree! A college degree will help him more in life than football will! Football doesn’t last forever, what is he going to do when he is done?

That help any? Did I toss my line far enough?

He'll have a very good NFL career. He reminds me of DeAngelo Williams the standout RB for the Carolina Panthers in the mid-2000s. I think he'll start out as a platoon back sharing carries but by Year 2 or 3 he'll be a legit RB1 in the league.
