Why aren’t people talking about Dylan Sampson?

He only has five fumbles lost for his career (I think it's 9 total, 4 were recovered)

The issue is, he has a four streak RN which is hurting his stock a lot

SEC is a QB league at this time. Emphasis seems for RBs to pass block or to go out for a pass. Even here Nico and our passing game seems to get most of the attention. Sampson is obviously a very good RB and would probably get more recognition in a different conference.

I don’t understand
I don't either. My assumption is he's not a bruiser like Derek Henry, or a top end speed/twitch guy like Kamara...he's just good at literally everything and always gets the extra yards, and you look up at the end of the game and he's got 125 yards. Hope he carries a little extra motivation to Columbus. He's going to have a great NFL career.

I would love to see us use him more on designed pass plays in space rather than just dumping a safety outlet when everyone's covered. He has that Kamara-esque skill set to be really effective as a pass catching RB.

He's the SEC's leading rusher this season and he's gotten some SEC player of the year recognition, so it's not like he's being ignored, but it's also not like his season is above and beyond the type of season that normally leads the conference. Even in the last decade there have been several seasons by running backs in the SEC that are probably going to end up with more yardage. Maybe if we get a couple more games he passes Schrader from Missouri to exceed last year's conference rushing leader.
