Dylan Sampson looked great

Thought he really looked good yesterday. I think he has a burst and elusiveness that the 2 guys ahead of him don’t. I am sure pass blocking is holding him back from more time.
Agreed. Thankfully we have all back next year. Add in a few reliable big backs and shore up the quality and depth on the offensive line and think we may try and control with rushing attack next year. Expect 200+ rushing yards per game with this group. Sampson appears to have the most talent but we still need to recruit talent and hopefully incorporate them more in the passing game.

Time between the Vandy game and the postseason will be like a mini-camp too. Won’t be surprised to see him in a larger roll in December and January. He should make a big jump next season, as well as Wright and maybe even Small continuing to improve more marginally. Our backfield could be a difficult proposition for defenses next year.

Samson needs to be hitting the play book hard and show he can pass block. It’s the only thing that could possible be keeping off the field. Maybe yesterday showed he is earning some trust, though when he was in it was a run play every time.

I noticed they really didn't ask him to pass block whole he was in. That's one way we could play him more, either let him carry the rock or send him out on a route.

Like DCs wont' read that like a book.

That is why he got limited use. He got in briefly and Huepel called plays that avoided him being responsible for protecting Hooker. He was either the primary ball handler or it was something quick. Sampson will continue to learn and the offense will be less restricted with him in.
