Dylan Sampson looked great

Yes his vision to go with his quickness and speed is lethal. I think he could be a new element difference maker as we head down the stretch. A potential new weapon that could help in potential playoff season. GBO!
Doesn’t lose speed when he cuts…always dangerous.

Sampson looked fast and explosive. He makes a difference for us the next three games and hits the whole with another gear. I look for him to really look like the future Saturday night against the Cocks.

Thought he really looked good yesterday. I think he has a burst and elusiveness that the 2 guys ahead of him don’t. I am sure pass blocking is holding him back from more time.

Reality set in for the staff when he never saw that safety from LSU put up a billboard and fireworks before coming to nearly break our QB into. Until that's corrected he'll stay situational like Sat.

There is a highlight video of him from the game, and he runs like Kamara, but not as noodlely and more rigid. If you watch it, you'll see what I mean.

Time between the Vandy game and the postseason will be like a mini-camp too. Won’t be surprised to see him in a larger roll in December and January. He should make a big jump next season, as well as Wright and maybe even Small continuing to improve more marginally. Our backfield could be a difficult proposition for defenses next year.

I made that same point about the "mini camp" in my post about the Missouri game. He could be a real weapon in the post season. And he definitely will be a weapon next year.

I'll be shocked if he's on this roster next year. Not a LB. Not a RB. Injury prone.

I've actually had both of these thoughts...he very well could transfer. But if he doesn't, maybe he plays a Fant Fullback role. I lean towards the former, though, as there are other guys who could play that role (maybe Ethan Davis or Miles Campbell).

Cocks #2 RB McDowell has 195 yards & 2 TDs in 10 games. Sampson has 264 yards & 5 TDs in 7 games.

Looked good. Can't get the QB killed though. The worst hit on Hooker all year was a bust by Sampson.

That said, his vision, acceleration, block set up,... all the things you need as a ball carrier except physical development look to be elite. He's going to be special once he gains some muscle weight.

Small is the oddest guy. He has absolutely elite quickness and cutting ability... then looks like he's running in sand after shaking guys.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how stout he appears as I had pictured him more as an APB with a lot of speed / quickness. Instead he looks like he could hold up to the contact. Hopefully he makes the same physical strides in the off season that Small and Wright did last year

He helped Tennessee jump back to the #1 scoring offense in the country with his play.
