Anxious to see if McNeil can make an impact up front this spring.

Agreed, he's one that can really make an impact out there. I look for him to anchor our line for a long time.

This should be Bolden's year to shine! I don't see our d-line dropping off much.

Three sophomores will be starting at LB. That will be a good sign. Stewart will not have a starting spot in the secondary. And, one of the "big 3" at WR (Smith, Meacham, Swain) will see significant drop in playing time. My guess is Smith.

Once again we have core WR's back. I think they will have something to prove this coming season. Id be surprise to see some the same mistakes from this year.

Agreed 72. I think they really bought into their hype last year and this year the hype will be that they are underachievers. Lets hope that motivates them to play harder and even, dare I say it, lay out for a few passes.

QB - Erik Ainge (Jr.) Jonathan Crompton (Fr.)
RB - Arian Foster (So.) LaMarcus Coker (Fr.)
FB - Cory Anderson (Sr.) David Holbert (Jr.)
WR - Robert Meachem (Jr.) Josh Briscoe (So.)
WR - Bret Smith (Sr.) Lucas Taylor (So.)
WR - Jayson Swain (Sr.) Austin Rogers (So.)
TE - Chris Brown (Jr.) Jeff Cottam (Fr.)
LT - Arron Sears (Sr.) Eric Young (Jr.)
LG - Chris Scott (Fr.) Ramone Johnson (Fr.)
C - Josh McNeil (Fr.) David Ligon (Sr.)
RG - Anthony Parker (So.) Jacques McClendon (Fr.)
RT - Ramon Foster (So.) Steven Jones (Jr.)

DE - Robert Ayers (So.) Xavier Mitchell (Jr.)
DT - Justin Harrell (Sr.) Demonte Bolden (So.)
DT - Turk McBride (Sr.) Vladimir Richard (Fr.)
DE - Walter Fisher (Jr.) Antonio Reynolds (Jr.)
OLB - Jerod Mayo (So.) Ryan Karl (Jr.)
MLB - Marvin Mitchell (Sr.) Andre Mathis (Fr.)
OLB - Rico McCoy (Fr.) Adam Myers-White (So.)
CB - Inky Johnson (Jr.) Roshaun Fellows (Jr.)
CB - Jonathan Wade (Sr.) Antonio Gaines (Jr.)
FS - Jonathan Hefney (Jr.) Corey Campbell (Sr.)
SS - Antwan Stewart (Sr.) Demetrice Morley (So.)

1. Yes, Erik Ainge wins the starting job.
2. Arian Foster and LaMarcus Coker could be a great one-two punch next season. Or Foster and Montario Hardesty.
3. I wouldn't be surprised to see Josh Briscoe jump into the starting line-up at some point during the season.
4. Even though alot of people think Ramon Foster is a guard. I see him starting at RT like he did against Kentucky. It would put our 5 best lineman in at the same time.
5. I believe Josh McNeil takes the starting job from David Ligon because he should be more consistent.
6. They said Turk McBride would be moved back to DE so McDaniel could get his PT, but now that McDaniel is gone, I think they may move McBride to DT until Demonte Bolden comes along. If McBride stays at DE, the starting 4 will be McBride-Harrell-Bolden-Ayers.
7. Rico McCoy beats Ryan Karl and Adam Myers-White for a starting OLB spot.
8. The secondary stays the same way it was at the end of last season. Demetrice Morley will be 2nd string at SS, but if an injury happened at CB, I think he would get a start over Roshaun Fellows.

Well since Trooper got moved to coaching the WR's maybe they will do a better job under a coach who has some fire in him. He's got all kinds of records at Baylor for WR's

I look for Hardesty to come off the bench early in the year but by mid-season he will be starting.....if his knee rehab goes as schedule.

Nice take on the line-up. I agree about McNeil and hope Ligon can help elsewhere. But I think D. Mo will start, they need to get him out on the field. And McCoy will be a beast!

I totally disagree with you on that. With the way Foster played unless he gets injuried he'll keep the job. Hardesty will get a good amount of carries though.

Reasons why Hardesty will end up as starter(if knee is healthy)

1. Fulmer had him at 2nd team before knee injury(has confidence in him)
2. He had learned the to pick up the blitz from Defenses as a true freshman. Remind you the reason Foster wasn't getting playing time was that he couldn't and he was a redshirt freshman.
3. He fumbles to much

But at the end of the season Foster showed why he is a Big time back. AND most of all, What do I know?

Dude, who in the hell is Garrett? And Morely plays Safety. Jonathan Wade will start the other side of Inky Johnson. Probably see Heffney and Morely start at safety with Antwan Stewart playing a bunch too.

Garrett is the stud JUCO safety we just signed and Moreley's natural position is CB. He was moved to safety since we needed people there more than corner.

Whoops. I thought the only JUCO we signed was Walter Fisher.

Yeah Garrett is supposedly pretty good but he dosn't get here until the summer whereas Fisher is already here. That may hurt him and plus he may not be as good as advertised. I'm just basing it on what we have at safety and the hype for Garrett. Morely might very well stay at safety but I know he was the #1 corner in HS, that's what we recruited him for, and I imagine that's what he prefers. It would be nice to have a shutdown corner since Fellows, Wade, Hefney, Johnson are all just decent at best.

Does anyone know what happened to wr recruit last year Slick Shilly? Seen this guy play and he is a stud, playmaker. Also does anyonr think that they move Hefney back to corner since they moved him out of that position to get Allen back his senior year?

I don't know about Slick but wasn't Meachum suppose to be our next superstar? I remember people talking about him breaking records the way they did Riggs. Did injuries play a part in his decline?
