Early Signing has come and gone.

So since Soloman has to sit out one year, does he still count against our 85 schollys? (my guess is probably).

I'm optimistic there are some more very talented guys we're still pursuing. I think Russell would already be signed if not and it appears he's being considered for a blue shirt?

I hope we get Wright maybe one more freshman and maybe go the Grad transfer route for three or four immediate help players. We could still use a DT or two SEC ready and a linebacker that could play immediately. Would also say a QB to backup JG don't know exactly how the other two guys progression will be by start of season. Certainly Maurer needs some time to develop.
There aren’t many grad transfer guys out there on the dline that are worth picking up. With that being said there a could I like. NT from Marist
And there is a sde senior leaving UConn that’s pretty good.

So on today's Jared Bowl broadcast, commentator said Memphis State "flipped" DE Jalil Clemons from the Vols. Fact, fiction or irrelevant?

If you stop recruiting a prospect, and he then signs with another team means that team "flipped" him from the original school, then yes MS flipped him from us. Maybe this will make Penny feel better.

Not bad looking film. Could size and has a little bit of strength/quickness. Don't know how good the competition is, but he doesn't stink.

Spoke with a current player today and he said to expect 5 or 6 more signees this class and they will all be 4 and 5 stars. Unbelievable job by the coaching staff after a 5-7 year. GBO

Agree on all but QB. It would be ideal to have a more experienced backup to JG, but I don't think it's a high enough priority with our other needs. Think we're just going to have to hope that either Shrout or Maurer develops enough to be serviceable as backup. Though, not impossible that the staff goes after Jalen Hurts, but I think Hurts would probably be looking for a more clear-cut situation.

All three could wind up somewhere else.
Cox to Auburn, Harris to UNC and Henry to FSU. We'll see what happens with those three. I get the feeling that Harris is the one they'd really like to keep of the three...

Why wouldn't we want to keep Henry? I haven't followed his recruitment much.

Kris Bogle is another. I have serious doubts he leaves home. But we'll keep swinging. He likes UT, always has. Just don't see him leaving home.

I have a dumb sense of optimism on Bogle. The fact that it sounds like he wants to be here so badly makes me think it's still possible. Lot of chaos at Miami right now, as well, with their collapsing recruiting class and Manny Diaz leaving for Temple. I know it's still probably unlikely, but it also would make a lot of sense and this would be a pretty ideal situation for him.

Supposedly they're cool on Henry's speed. And just about every time you're see his name mentioned, it's followed by "doesn't expect to sign with TN".

As for bogle, I'm just taking a "believe it when I see it" approach. Bama is in the picture there too.
