I have worked for large companies for almost 30 years. I have witnessed probably 20 lay-offs in that time. Just last week my co-worker was told he was gone, that the following day was his last payday and his medical insurance would expire that day also. I thought companies had to give an employee 30-45 days notice.

Anyway, in the last month I have been offered a better job, around twice the net income and twice the vacation time. I was actually lamenting whether to take the job or not, but after witnessing what happened to my friend, I will quit and turn the knife. Loyalty works both ways. The big companies have trained me well. Take the money and run.

You can't blame Bush anymore, he is out of office. Obama and the dems had control of congress since January 2007, they are to blame also. Bush did spend too much he was a fiscal liberal but this socialist is making Bush's spending look very small.
