EEs and Roster Turnover...

They all probably realized what a clown Lyle was and wanted the heck out
yeah, i think there were more than a couple that saw the light, and got out of dodge. 2/3 of that 2015 class wasn't here this year.

only 2 were early NFL departures. everyone else either retired from football all together (2 or 3 of those i think), or transferred.

No surprise on the Will McBride front, he got passed up by Shrout during the season. I'd assume we'd have maybe 8 transfer.

I looked at last years signing class. We signed 22 freshmen. then we had London, Chryst & Thompson to equal 25 for last years class. So, we are allowed to sign 25 this recruiting cycle......not 22

Just wondering, is there a list of the current "cancers" on the team? I have some ideas of a few (Shamburger, Abernathy, Sapp?)...

also wondering, who happened to be dancing on the sideline of the last game (as noted by Swain on his radio show)... they could obviously be added to the list of malcontents...

while I don't have a great deal of confidence in Pruitt and his staff, it would be nice to see what they could do with a group of players committed to developing their skills and performing at the highest level...

Fingers crossed for a competent OC hire...

Once players are asked to leave the program, it will be obvious to us, the fans, who they were. At this point, only the players & coaches really know.
Ya need to find the grandmother who has a granddaughter who is dating someone on the team and ask her. Probably only way to get a good answer now.
Or ask one of the coaches gardeners or maids or baby sitters, it is likely that they would know also.

I know @SKnoxVol used quotes around "cancers" so I'm not trying to call him out specifically.

These kids were offered to play at a dream school and some of them maybe weren't up to task. Let's not trash them because they took an opportunity that possibly demanded more than they were capable of.

Now if one of them trashes the lockerroom and starts trying to peer recruit to Florida, let's call a spade a spade. But a kid that may be losing their football scholarship because they bit off a little more than they could chew under an "easier" coaching staff... eh

Sorry to "virtue signal" or whatever. Just reminding everyone to keep the gloves up. These guys are putting on for Tennessee, just not at the level that Tennessee needs.

Some guys may not be able to give their best when they're surrounded by other guys not giving their best. They need the culture changed first, which may be the fault of the organization. Nasty chicken/egg cycle, can be tough to fix, without wholesale personnel changes.

Going to be a LOT of transfers, new players on the field, a new offense, an entirely new DL, and very little depth in 2019. By 3078 we should finally have a veteran team.
