The Obama team would use the White Supremacist movement's endorsement of Paul, and his subsequent refusal to disavow the endorsement of loons like David Duke, against him. I wouldn't blame them, either. I like Paul's economic message, but I won't support him with my vote.
I'm black, and even I realize that you can't use the few to paint the majority.

He's got my vote.

He just makes way too much sense for his own good. That's scary to me that a guy like Paul cannot get elected yet people like W can serve two terms. JMO.

Most definitely the most intelligent and proven Republican candidate. I don't share many views with him - 180 on just about every topic, but I can't help not to like the guy. His oratory ability and charisma hamper him, hence the reason Romney has the best shot of winning the Republican nomination. I will say that Dr. Paul's fund raising abilities have been extremely impressive. He also has quite a few young supporters - I've noticed more Ron Paul youth supporters than any other Republican candidate.

Well an endorcement by Lois Farrakhan didn't seem to hurt Obama and as a matter of fact Obama employed and continues to employ radical NOI members.

Farrakhan is far more radical and racist than David Duke ever though of being and Paul is far less connected to those radical groups than obama was connected to even far more radical groups such a Farakhan and Ayers.

But you do bring up a good point, the truth doesn't matter so much, it's all about hype and percention of the truth.

The issue isn't what an individual voter thinks about what Paul has to say; it's what the GOP corporate establishment thinks about what Paul has to say.

The $$ is not going to get behind him.

That is a good point but isn't it high time we stopped listening to the talking heads on TV and made up our own minds on issues.

If we are at the point where the most $$$$ means who will win all the elections then we are pretty much done for, wouldn't you agree?

So tempting...

Seriously though. Smartest politician out there. The guy gets it. He really does.

He had a majority of congress members endorce his "Federal Transpanrency Act of 2009" but that was buried in commitee back in September.

It is total insanity that this bill wasn't passed or even that we ever arrived at a point where we even needed such a bill.

Oh yes, this message will really sell with the GOP military industrial warmongers:

"We can do better with peace than with war."

LOL

Dr. Paul made Baldwin look like a clown.

Is making Stephen Baldwin look like a clown really an accomplishment? I bet at least 50% of people that simply looked at a picture of SB would assume he's got some mental disfunction even before he speaks.

What in particular don't you like about what Paul has to say??

Can he get the nomination? The majority of republicans polled said they identify with the tea party more than they do with the Republican National Comittee.

His son is holding a double digit lead for a senate seat in Kentucky.

You can lay a sure bet that LSM media will portray him as a nutcase as they always have but OTOH the majority of Americans are sick to death of the LSM.

You left out the part where Pope Ron Paul said that there were corporatist in the Republican party as well.

If Dr. Paul had any chance of getting elected under the Libertarian umbrella, he would go that route. No doubt he's extremely conservative as evidenced by his voting record, but his views are classic Libertarian.

In reality, that was the true Conservatism.

Ron Paul has never voted for an unbalanced budget. That in itself is noteworthy.
