Election Night (or days, or weeks, or whatever) 2022

Wait, isn't that Jenny's number?

A brazen Joe Biden who feels he has a mandate said he doesn't plan to change a thing the next two years.
The best thing that could happen for Biden right now, is for Trump to announce his candidacy for 2024 on Sunday as expected. That keeps the focus away from him, and instead, on a Republican who is losing popularity outside of his base.

If Republicans are going to break with Trump, and go with DeSantis, you need to do it now... not wait a year.

More Trump stroke material

The left feels the same way as the right keeps feeding Trumpism. Americans do not win as long as both parties operate at extremes. It just continues to feed the divide in this country.

I've said before I don't like Trump. Further, I don't blame anybody else who doesn't like the guy; he's an arrogant boor with no sense of taste and virtually no common sense when it comes to his fat mouth. I expect what dems dislike is that Trump was willing to get in the dirt and fight back ... they've been used to pushing a round a bunch of pansies on the GOP side. Setting aside his personal deficiencies (which are numerous), Trump at least did stuff nobody else has seen fit to do, and he tried to do other things that dems blocked. If you've been around a while, you've probably crossed paths with people you personally dislike but have to admit they did get things right most of the time. I've generally thought that Trump might have been a more likeable person if the dems and the press hadn't been out to get him even before he entered the WH.

Sure and throw fuel on the flame with massive spending bills and oh, let’s just shut down fuel production while we’re at it. WHO is telling YOU that was an excellent idea?

You talking about Trump, still?

What in God's name are you talking about with the 2nd part? Complete fabrication.

Democrats new strategy for victory - Voting Month instead of voting day that was instituted during covid lookdowns.

The sinister nature of democrats
If the same protocol, implemented on Election Day, is also adhered to every other day ... what is wrong with having a full month to vote, rather than just one day? I'm not seeing the "sinister" part of that.

Thought it might be handy to have one thread where we can all yell at each other accordingly. Some early national exit polling information from Edison Research just released:

"Most important issue":

-Inflation 32%
-Abortion 27%
-Crime 12%
-Gun policy 12%
-Immigration 10%

"Condition of Nation's Economy"
-Not so good 36%
-Poor 39%

"Biden Approval"
-Approve 45%
-Disapprove 55%

"Was your vote..."
-To support Biden 18%
-To oppose Biden 32%
-Biden not a factor 48%

"Party ID"
-R 35%
-D 34%
-Ind. 31%

That party identification one really surprises me. That is a substantial number of independents. +70% negatives on the condition of the economy? That's a very bad sign for Democrats.

Voted for a few folks.
Like many I'm not voting against anyone (probably been said) but I didn't have anyone to vote for.

If you are against vax mandates and against abortions, you're a hypocrite.

I know, I know all the rhetoric about voting against your enemy, but I voted for Hanoi Hilton and Romney.

That was like pissing in the ocean and calling high tide.

Is Beto going to get a job at McDonald's now? Can we say he's done yet? Or are they going to find more money for him to burn running for something

So working at a polling station is going to be a full time job?

I heard this morning that this was the largest 18-30 year old turnout in history for a mid-term. I think we're seeing the results.

They want their free college and stuff. Doesn't look like slo jo is going to get congress to sign off on that, and it's going to be hard for him to reallocate money since they said Trump couldn't do that. Fun times.

For just one month? It shouldn't be hard to find enough people to do it.

What this really shows, is that Republicans understand that whenever voter turnout is higher than expected, it tends to favor Democrats. Republicans were counting on low Democratic Party turnout yesterday. Ease of voting access is reducing the significance of the "enthusiasm" variable.

Voting shouldn’t be overly convenient. If you can’t plan for one day a year in advance then you obviously don’t give a s***. If dims need a month to round up voters and get them to a voting station then tough s***.

Shouldn’t be hard for people to set aside some time to vote in person instead of by mail. But we know you liberals hate to show IDs.
