Electoral Vote vs Popular Vote

I stated houshold.

two working members which means per person two minimum wage workers living together.

I thought that was clear. That is the 30% bracket of which only 3% was black. That is without the 4% margin of error or the error Kerry's pollhad in it.

That means 23-27% of minimum age workers voted republican based on this poll who are white.

That's sad.
No you were originally talking about 51% of the population, not the 7% living in poverty. Also you promised data not including exit polls, which you have failed deliver. All in all, you aren't making much sense.

So then you do agree you are GS's *****?

Don't know what word you're trying to type out. But as I disagree with him on nearly everything - I would say no. You could be his cronie though - you seem to suckle from the same ignorant teat.

Your opinion?

Should the Electoral vote be banished?

Should the Popular vote be the deciding factor?

If one wins the popular vote and the other wins the Electoral vote, should the method be challenged?

Debate this topic!

The electoral vote was one of the most brilliant pieces of the Constitution created by the framers. It ensures that the mega huge states (California, New York) and their huge cities don't always elect the President. If it wasn't for the Electoral College the welfare recipients of the large metropolitan areas would elect the POTUS.

This. As a matter of population NYC could outvote Wyoming, Vermont, ND, Alaska, SD, Delaware, Montana, Rhode Island & New Hampshire by itself.

Right, hence the framers knew what the heck they were doing.

Popular vote eliminates my regions voice in politics, instead ensuring mob rules. I probably do not have much in common with someone in San Fransico but both of us should have a voice/representative in the matter. Major cities such as Chicago politics do not fit my Tennessee home so no to the popular vote and Mob rule.

I understand that exit polls aren't 100% accurate. I'm just waiting for NEOCON to support his claim that the 51% of Americans who "don't pay taxes" all vote D. Feel free to help him. He's been googling for a while.

I actually seen this episode when it aired and now everytime i see a poll i am suspicious of the agenda/questions of the ones doing the polling. Is that crazy?

yes and no. You should question it - but it sounds a little crazy. I just don't really pay attention to polls.

I still can't get over the Penn & Teller thing.

Here's a magicians opinion on economics.

If you haven't tuned into the show, its actually pretty cool. I'm not claiming they are experts, and i certainly don't agree with all their conclusions, but they make some good points and ask some valid questions.

the one on global warming and the selling & buying of carbon credits was great also. They went to a grocery store, stood outside and as people left the store they asked them what they purchased and how far they came to/from the store and what they drove and then used a phoney calculation to determine their "carbon footprint" cost of that purchase. Many people paid them that amount of the spot and some even gave extra.

Im afraid that alot of folks are influenced by them though. If its an issue that you are on the fence about or don't totally understand or have the time to research it's easy just to take on the percieved populace view and opinion of the issue without proper dilliegence to decide for yourself.

I thought all great politicians are magicians of sorts. they sure make our tax dollars disappear quickly. Sadly, i trust their judgements as much or more than some on congress. Frank & Dodd anyone.

That and they give me indigestion. I don't think it's possible for me to meet a politician and not want to punch them in the face.
