It's all good. AI may kill us all in the future but we're just now hitting the sweet spot. I think in our lifetimes at least AI will be something we can take advantage of and profit off of it; until **** hits the fan for our descendents.
All sarcasm aside I do actually believe that if we don't exterminate ourselves first that AI could eventually supplant us in the hierarchy of our tiny corner of the galaxy. I think it is likely that this is a huge universal bottleneck in the advancement of biological life- a species reaches the point where their advanced technology combined with the vast emptiness of space necessitates artifical life to expand beyond the boundaries we experience today.
Honestly if we even reach that point it may be what some would call a "blessing" because if I had to bet we will off ourselves through war or environmental destruction before then.
