EMERGENCY: any good draft beer in Gatlinburg?

Mrs Verc and I are in a rented house in this week with many, many family members, and tonight is our night to get out by ourselves. We'd like to go somewhere where we can sit at the bar and drink tasty glasses of beer. We'd rather spend our time drinking beer instead of walking around looking for it. Any suggestions?

Why go out, you finally got the house to yourself?


Or skip the beer and go straight for the moonshine. Ole Smoky Moonshine is a good start.

1. Our kids and my sister's kids and my sister and her husband and my parents will all be in the house. The whole point is to get away from them.

2. We do have to drive back up the mountain.

Mellow Mushroom has by far the best draft selection up there. You also have Smokey Mt Brewery that brews their own beer but MM has way more choices.

Last time I was there, I asked what I should try. The bar keep said, " try the irish pi$$." No joke..... It is a beer with a cartoon leprechaun peeing on the label. Was not bad.

tap quality between the two is pretty close. Atmosphere at British pubs are better. Mellow Mushroom has awesome pizza. I'd probably try Fox and Parrot to try something new, but damn I love pizza.

I'd go get hammered on malt liquor then go back to the house and beat the hell out of whomever's idea it was to go to Gatlinburg.

Anytime I need a morale boost I go to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. I look around at all the obese white trash and suddenly feel better. No drug is better.
