What exactly makes you think he would succeed in our offense? I just watched 10 minutes of him and he completed 2, maybe 3 deep balls. That’s half a game’s worth of deep balls for Hooker and Milton. Dude is a RB attempting to be a QB. He would suck in our offense.

Just have him for one year it couldn’t hurt to have some backup insurance at QB. Im hoping Milton takes that next step though to be our QB next season and does well and we get Nico some limited action next season to get him ready to take over fulltime in 2024.

I disagree. That’s a waste of a scholarship that we could use to upgrade the defense. The QB position is fine.

I would take a ton of other QBs before Jones. Pretty much anyone else with decent starting experience.

If that is your insurance, we are in trouble. The walk-ons Navy Shuler and Gaston Moore are both better than Emory Jones in this offense.

I’m most def a Vol. We absolutely need to look at the portal for a QB for 2023. Man you people on here crack me up y’all are seriously some of the biggest snowflakes I’ve ever seen. So I have a different opinion or hot take than yours and I’m not a Vol lol. I’m not a Vol?? I’ve been a Vol for 40 years now believe I’m 100 percent a Vol fan I just think outside the box sometimes.

Having seen Manning's freshman season, I can say that it's extremely difficult for true freshmen QBs in this league. Ideally, he'd get a year as a backup to adjust before you throw him in the deep end. We really need Milton to be solid or we need a rent-a-QB like Hartman for a season. Having an experience, seasoned QB like Hartman to mentor Nico would be ideal IMO.

I agree that we need to find a capable QB from the portal. Hooker is a good example of why.
