Emotional spending during games.

The game thread is for emotional reactions that are meant to be spoken and thrown away. Zero second thoughts to it as you have to be a real clown to drag up real-time commented game threads with the old "ThIs YoU?" on a game reaction comment to self-boost your lack of self-confidence.

These standard threads regret not, but sometimes I see something I changed my mind about, but who doesn't change their mind or point of on things? It was said in a certain frame that just isn't relevant to me today. Same with my fishing videos. Yeah, they were 100% ass at one point, but I still leave them up.

Responding with equal or greater energy when the opportunity arises to guys, nah. Internet feelings don't exist to me. You poke, I poke back and I don't care about bans or making friends off the internet so my only filter is what I choose.

Why would things one says or posts be excused because its during game time? Either you mean it or you dont. Either you are knowledgeable or not.

Or, a fellow (or lady) can admit they were wrong and try to remember that the next time they feel an overreaction coming on.

Saturday i sat beside the most miserable UK fan in the world, at least i hope he is. UK had just scored a TD to pull within two. Every other fan was cheering and celebrating. My neighbor went on a tirade about how effing dumb Stoops was for not kicking a field goal earlier in the game...IMO that is a sad way to live. Not even be able to enjoy your team making a great play and choose to focus on the negative, i felt sorry for him. And he was much like many here in VN; unable to appreciate the amazing turn around because they focus on the mistakes and learnings of the coaches and players.

I will never understand anyone looking at the team CJH and staff inherited and in a little over 30 months see where we are now, and complain about coaching.

you will NEVER catch me at the keyboard posting during a game since I have taped every game for 25 years. FF through all the commercials and opponent TDs.

Same. The DVR is one of mankind's greatest inventions. I haven't watched a sporting event live in about 25 years myself - usually I'll start it an hour and a half or so late, and no announcer blather, halftime, commercials, or opponent TD celebrations.

The game is four quarters. Some fans get mad when the team plays a bad quarter or half (this team can’t put a whole game together blah blah blah). Maybe we should hold ourselves to the same standard and wait the full game before we say anything stupid. If we expect a bunch of kids/young men who are out there pouring their hearts out on the field to perform for a full 4 quarters, maybe we should do the same with our comments. Just imo. Blast away
I will ,, when I get a NiL deal worth a 100k-1Mil

The thread topic was about regret posting not being excused.

I don't care about your miserable experience, your emotional neighbor, your pointless statement that should have been stand alone, or that you feel that people don't appreciate Heupel and needed to fight ghosts on his behalf.

Go get'em tiger!

As for this, imagine expecting people to apologize everytime they had a change of opinion on something. Get out of here with entitlement of this level.

Entitlement is throwing fits like a brat each time things dont go your way, and then complaining for being called out for your childish behavior.

Again, you are fighting ghosts. This was never the topic, stay on point, or as you would type "Stoy no pointe"

Your only purpose of coming in here was to say you don't regret anything, are well-mannered, humbled, never passionate, and everyone should apologize when they change their mind.

Here I was thinking man this guy is doing great with learning English as a second language and then I got curious about your previous post. GTFO kid. You cannot spell, you cannot write, you cannot form complete sentences, you cannot comment without insulting (wild that someone who cannot spell third-grade level five-letter words calls people stupid <- cannot make this stuff up), and you have an ego that tells you everyone is wrong and you are right all the time.

Enjoy your day man. I hope life gives you a W somewhere.

I was looking at other fan bases forums during games. It’s amazing how similar the over emotional negative responses are when their team is losing and playing bad. I noticed one poster even apologized after their team won for the negative posts during the game.

So I have a question. Do any of you ever look at your posts made during a game and after the game think “what the hell was I thinking” or are you proud of your negative posts?

We all get emotional during games but some of you become unglued and post the most immature crap imaginable.
It's a lot worse in Basketball forums, because there are big runs back & forth in Bball. I've got on VN and said guys settle down its way to early and then we have came back. A perfect example was Sunday we got up on Michigan State 17 to 1, no reason in Bball to beat your chest early on a big lead or jump off a cliff on a big deficit. Stay the course.

It’s usually the things I say after the game, when I’m good and toasted, that I would like to have back.

Such a timely post. Indeed, during my mental post mortem, I have felt a little embarrassed for second guessing professional coaches and my reluctance to accept this team's unique identity. I am a fan and it's what fans do, though. (I don't drink anymore, so, I lost that excuse!)

I was thinking the same thing. I've never met someone who watches sports like I do, or who hasn't thought it was strange. Brothers by a different mother, I suppose.

I have only ever posted on here during a game when I am watching it by myself and need to tell somebody how frustrated I am, I think. This is a more rare combination (not watching with others + being frustrated). I typically watch with others to keep myself in check and only watch alone if it’s a game I don’t want to be in the presence of others for.

To my recollection, the Florida game this year comes to mind (did not watch with others by choice, was a smart move - nobody needs to see me in that mental state). And for the record, I don’t remember anything I said, but I will stand by it 1000%. I’m not sorry.
