Correct me if I'm wrong but qualifying for disability doesn't necessarily mean she would have to leave the work force.

good question. I know with some programs you cannot earn income in excess of some particular limits and receive the compensation. I assume that going on disability (SSI) means you are subject to those limits.

That is true. I have disabilities and receive disability pay that off sets part of my military pension. It is hard to tell as I am still active and the disabilities are not apparent. If she is being treated for a psychopathology she probably can still work, however if she doesn't have health insurance she won't get treatment and then probably can't work. Like I said before, since she only makes $12 bucks an hour I would guess there is no health insurance provided unless she pays out of pocket. Neo can verify, but if she doesn't have health coverage then she has to apply for disability coverage so she can get treatment and probably continue to work.

I'd like to know why she wants 30 minutes off when she only works 35 hours a week. Looks like that leaves a half a day free somewhere to reschedule that appt. I guess my answer would have been no.

Wh works 35 hours a week, makes about 12.00 per hour, just told me she needs off for thirty minutes on Monday to do an interview. I asker her what for and she said disability. "My doctor told me to file because I talk too much. I'm bi-polar and he said because I talk so much and cant help it I need to file."

I swear I am not making this up.
That is what women do... they talk too much.

So being a woman is a disability now?

Reminds me, about 4 years ago I had an employee I supervised ask me if she could go on strike for the day to support her people (illegal immigrants all over the state went on strike that day, though she was actually legal). LMAO, asking your boss for permission defeats the purpose of a strike.

Thread tl;dr.

But re the OP, is it possible that either she misunderstood the doc, she is leaving out some important things, or you misunderstood her ? I'd say middle one highly likely.

It allows them to work but up to a certain amount. So at that amount they go home. I have one on disability because he cant stand long and another who cant lift more than thirty pounds. Both could make six hundred per week if they xhose to work full time.

I think it would be safe to say with their part time salary, disability check, health insurance and medicine benefit, they are making more than the $600 per week.

The big thing for the two you mentioned
could be the health insurance and medicine.
At least they are working a few hours per week.

I do believe we would see some miraculous recoveries if the disability rules were tightened. Almost like a faith healing.....

It's also more likely that she simply represents our modern culture, which takes massive advantage of our broken entitlements program, which are being guarded by the foxes.
