I noticed that too. Those empty seats in the upper deck are where the visiting team sits at Williams-Brice.

There was a time when schools like UK or Vandy would return a portion of their allotment, and the home team fans would gobble them up. That's not the case anymore.

The opponent section wasn't the only empty area, the upper decks on both sidelines were thin in some areas, empty in others. Those aren't opponent seats anymore. The opponent upper deck seats at WBS are in the endzone upper deck.
