I think those and GameStop. Both will hang on a good while but they're on the clock.

Especially GameStop, as gaming because more and more digital, they'll end up like music stores and the now tiny music section at Best Buy.

Gamestop will be hosed in the next decade easily. The new consoles are going to focus on downloadable content. The PC is already like that. I haven't actually bought a hard copy PC game since Battlefield 2 (2005).

Places like Gamestop and FYE are definitely next on the chopping block. Won't be today, won't be tomorrow, probably won't be for this upcoming generation but by the NEXT generation I guarantee you gaming will be 100% digitally distributed and Gamestop will either evolve or die! That's exactly what happened to Blockbuster. They could have easily been what Netflix is if they had had any vision whatsoever. Now Red Box even has a digital delivery service that you can stream from or use to reserve a movie at one of their vending machines. Blockbuster could have been at the forefront of all that and instead chose to be a dinosaur and it cost them! Gamestop will be end up with the same fate if they don't figure out a way to adapt and exist in this rapidly changing digital world!

Well considering Dish Network owns the full Blockbuster video library, which is immense, then they may return in a digitized streaming form. I doubt it will be called Blockbuster, as that name is now tainted, but Dish will probably find a way to squeeze the last remaining revenue out of the company.

I thought this was going to be about the "girls of" threads.
