If you don't accept my picks when they were in almost 24 hours before the green flag actually flies, then I'm not going to play this season. I was eight minutes past your arbitrary deadline, and gained exactly no advantage considering the fact that you are allowing people to alter their picks up until noon tomorrow.
Judging by the amount of entries in the contest this week you could use all the participation you can get.
As I said, rules are rules, and if you didn't know this particular rule, which is posted multiple times in two threads and is the same rule as last year, than I can't help you. The fact that it rained and postponed the event has no bearing on the fact that entries must be posted by the original deadline each week. If the race is postponed, I give contestants who made the deadline the option to change picks before the new deadline.
And judging by the amount of entries in the contest this week, we have plenty of people who are going to participate in this years contest. And they all know how to follow the rules.
It's your baby, so do with it as you wish, but rb would allow additional entries last year when races were postponed. I don't recall how he handled races that were simply delayed, but under the circumstances for this Daytona 500, he'd have allowed additional entries, up until 7pm tonight (as it currently is scheduled).
