Eric Garner Grandy Jury Decision Today

It takes an average of 10 years. So if a drug can save 100 lives per year, the government killed 1,000 people because they don't allow them the choice to take it.

Allow people to use experimental drugs if they want. After all, they are the ones that assume the risk. Cautious people like yourself can wait until it gets approval. Win/win.

Thalidomide approves this

I don't follow your line of reasoning.

The Russian people only had to give their time to help remodel a hospital....something that can help their lives and u expect the American people to give their money to support the military and other needed federally supported programs....it ain't happening

A lot of people with deep pockets would be happy to donate to the military. Americans are very charitable. Don't forget sponsorship. Instead of building a basketball arena we'd have the USS Staples

You know Huff..... I really used to think you were an above average intelligent poster, but this kind of fairy tale naivety has me second guessing my thinking

They're so emotionally convincing.

Do you know why you only know of one good example to counter me with?

Do you think your one example outweighs the deaths caused by delaying the release of every life saving drug ever invented?

Because it immediately popped into my mind.... Another that pops in is Seldane

8 deaths attributed to Seldane.

It's impossible for the death count from faulty drugs to outweigh the death count from drugs that are denied to people.

- It only takes a handful of deaths for people and the authorities to realize a drug is bad.
- There are other controls in place outside of government that help ensure the drugs are relatively safe.

So the few drugs that do kill are recognized early and the death count is minimal.

Now if a drug saves 1,000 lives per year, and we don't get it for 10 years? How many bad drugs would it take to get a body count of 10,000? It's not happening.

And WTF, the FDA approved Seldane, and even when people died the FDA said it should stay on the market.

I guess Seldane really works in my favor in this discussion.

The assumption that bad drugs are recognized early may be incorrect. I'd say there's a good likliehood that some adverse effects don't show up until after an extended period of time.

My assumption is that outside of Dinkin' no one on here has had their ass kicked by the police. Why is that fellas? Is it because we don't engage in criminal activity or act a fool when confronted by the police? This stuff isn't rocket science. It's not your everyday run of the mill law abiding citizens that are constantly involved in these types of things.
Damn near every time something like this arises, the so called "victim" has a rap sheet a mile long. Maybe if they'd learn to quit breaking the law and acting like idiots they wouldn't be getting beaten down by the cops.

Never had my ass kicked by the cops. I'm too fast.

I'd counter that and say it does the opposite to your argument. It went through the long slow approval process and was only then found to be a risk when mixed with ....what?.....grapefruit juice or something.

I'm not arguing that the death count from bad drugs would outnumber the lives saved. I'm just pointing out that there would be a lot of problematic drugs that would prematurely hit the market.

Good thing about him and those like him are that they realize the err of their way of thinking when their balls fully drop or their meds get evened out.
