I see a lot of posts about this state and that state. This isn't decided by electoral votes , and it doesn't matter what state the votes come from, as long as she has more total votes at the end of voting

It's just nice to see where the support is coming from. I think that's why we all enjoy looking at the states. As for the electoral college, if Summitt weren't ill I can't think of a better person to be POTUS. :)

TRUE! on both counts
plus while it is not a state or elecoral college vote, there are certain states that I would expect to be more Vol Nation than jo-pa. Virginia is such a state (and California too based on how many Vol fans are out there)

it also shows that some of the grass roots efforts are working (sent a text to a friend in Baltimore this morning - a few hours later, Maryland has swung from blue to red. Don't know if she voted once, or spread the word, or if its unrelated - just nice to see more red states.....and more importantly a larger lead for Pat.

Indy just flipped too! And yeah, I've seen votes roll in from all over after tweeting under different Vol and March Madness hashtags. Don't know if it's related or not but lot's of places that play basketball are now backing Pat. :)

ETA: We are now at 53% :dance2:

I don't know but I checked my twitter feed and wow. I'm a complete believer in social media now. One of my 'vote for Pat Summitt' tweets got re-tweeted by a news account with over 11k followers. I really think our campaign to spread the word all over social media and to all of our friends worked. Vol Nation is mighty!

I don't know if she actually receives anything material for this. It's probably just an interesting promotion to generate clicks on a website.
I hope someone close to Pat tells her about this. I think she'd appreciate the support this shows. She won because of how much we wanted her to win.

Amen to all of that. Pat would definitely appreciate it and yes, this was how bad we wanted her to win - says a lot about how much she's loved and respected.

I think she more than likely won because our computer nerds were better than their computer nerds ... Though I am glad she won.

She won because more UT and Pat Summitt fans spent their free time and work time voting.

Our nerds, including this nerd, worked hard at this but the reason is because we wanted this for her. She's probably the one public person on the planet that I respect completely. She's shown nothing but excellence, strength, grace, and love for not just UT but also our state. That is someone I'll fight for and I'm sure I'm not alone in that feeling.
